Skin Cancer Seal
All shading products using Craft-Bilt Collection fabrics aid in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin. Sunbrella® fabrics have been submitted to the Skin Cancer Foundation for testing and have earned the Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation by providing a sun protection factor (SPF) of 15 or greater.
Protective Coatings
Craft-Bilt fabrics are protected with special coatings to extend the life of the fabric. All fabrics in the Collection are warranted for five years.
Durable Thread
We sew our awning fabrics using GORE™ Tenara® thread - a long lasting thread which enhances the life of your awning. Conventional threads used for awnings and other outdoor fabric products suffer from exposure to wind and weather. After a few years, they can become brittle and break. In contrast, GORE™ Tenara® sewing thread does not deteriorate from exposure to the elements, even when exposed to UV radiation, salt spray, cleaning agents or extreme weather. It is guaranteed to outlast the fabric in which it is used.
